The resort’s camping sites are on the river bank, with a lovely view of the river.

There are 60 camp-sites on the riverbank to choose from. with Eskom electricity (three point plugs), and braai
facilities.

The 28 fishing sites are directly on the water, and are a bit more expensive.

The 32 non-fishing sites are in the second row, or directly on the river (not suitable for fishing) and they are
cheaper.

With deep holes and rapids, Dimalachite is the ideal fishing venue for fly as well as bank fishing. The biggest Large
Mouth Yellow caught here on fly was 24lb.

Book a guided fishing trip on rafts with us and rest assure that you catch some nice fish in the rapids.

You can rent a raft and paddles from us and head to the islands and rapids, or bring your own.

These sites is more private and have a lovely view of the river and islands

Trees & reeds, rocks & islands make these sites perfect for people who visit to enjoy nature and bird life
•
This area (Kiewiet 37 to 50) is also a popular area for family and friends to get together

These are non-fishing sites and are therefore not so “busy”. More private

NON FISHING SITES - SECOND ROW:
•
The 18 non fishing sites are in the second row and not suitable for fishing.
•
You can choose between Kiewiet 21 to 34 and Kiewiet 47 to 50
•
Clients with babies and small kids sometimes prefer these camp-sites.
•
They are mostly shaded and because of the shade some sites has less grass.
•
The Kiewiet stands use any of the two ablution blocks ans sculleries.

MORE INFO:

We have two camps namely Kiewiet camp & Visarend camp.
•
Maximum six people per stand allowed.
•
Our tariffs work on a sliding scale. The more people booked per stand, the cheaper the cost per person.
•
There are a different cost structure for adults and kids between 3 and 12year.
•
We book specific sites for you when you do a booking, and you only pay for the number of people on the stand.
•
There are two ablution blocks and sculleries in Kiewiet camp and two family ablution blocks and a scullery in Visarend camp with warm and cold water.
•
The stands are ±10m x 10m and bigger, and we allow up to 6 people per stand.
•
Most of the camp-sites has grass and trees for shade, but the more shade there is, the more difficult it is to grow grass - so some sites does not have grass.
•
The ablution blocks are well maintained with staff cleaning on a regular basis.
•
There are two family ablution blocks in Visarend camp.
•
The tariffs on the web page includes all cost. With electricity cost rising drastically, please help us by not using extra freezers, spotlights, air-cons etc. otherwise we will have no option as to increase our tariffs.
•
Please use water sparingly. Thanks!
•
If you want to enjoy the evening around a camp-fire, please bring a suitable burner that will keep the heat from the grass. Burners can also be rented from the kiosk to make a camp-fire.
•
Fires on the ground are strictly prohibited. Please use braai stands for braai or camp fire.
•
We are VERY fortunate that we haven't had any crime related incidents so far. With the right clients, it may well be so in the future!
•
Enjoy your camping but always be vigilant.
•
Please report any disturbance (Noise, music and people dis-behaving) or anything/person that look suspicious.

The Vaal de Grace golf course developed by Nicky Price on an island is very popular, as is the Parys golf estate.
•
There are a few game farms in the area, and while driving through the Dome Bergland, you are welcome to visit Dog and Feet Brewery.
•
Venterskroon is also an interesting place to visit. There are a few good hiking trails in the mountains.
•
The yearly “Crater Cruise” mountain bike event and Parys adventure festival are events not to be missed.
•
One of the best 4x4 trails (Baraka) in South Africa is on our doorstep.
Nature & Music don’t match!

We want our guests to get away from the hassle and stress of the city, and relax in nature with us. Therefore we ask our guests to leave the music and noise in town, especially during the evenings.

That doesn’t mean you mustn’t enjoy your stay, but please always consider your neighbours. They also want to relax and enjoy their stay.

The 28 GREAT fishing sites are directly on the water (you fish from your
campsite)

Kiewiet 1 - 20 and Visarend 2 - 6
•
Some are shaded and therefore less grass
•
Some only get afternoon shade and has more grass

Make use of the ablutions at the double-story (Vinkneste) or at the
swimming pool

The fishing sites are a bit more expensive than the NON fishing sites
RIVERFRONT NON-FISHING SITES:

We have only 10 of these VERY popular sites available (Kiewiet 37 to
Kiewiet 46)

These sites is more private and have a lovely view of the river and islands
•
Trees & reeds, rocks & islands make these sites perfect for people who
visit to enjoy nature and bird life
•
This area (Kiewiet 37 to 50) is also a popular area for family and friends to
get together
Make use of the ablution block at the swimming pool.

These are non-fishing sites and are therefore not so “busy”. More private

NON FISHING SITES - SECOND ROW:
•
The 18 non fishing sites are in the second row and not suitable for fishing.
•
You can choose between Kiewiet 21 to 34 and Kiewiet 47 to 50
•
Clients with babies and small kids sometimes prefer these camp-sites.
•
They are mostly shaded and because of the shade some sites has less
grass.
•
The Kiewiet stands use any of the two ablution blocks ans sculleries.

MORE INFO:

We have two camps namely Kiewiet camp & Visarend camp.
•
Maximum six people per stand allowed.
•
Our tariffs work on a sliding scale. The more people booked per stand, the
cheaper the cost per person.
•
There are a different cost structure for adults and kids between 3 and
12year.
•
We book specific sites for you when you do a booking, and you only pay
for the number of people on the stand.
•
There are two ablution blocks and sculleries in Kiewiet camp and two
family ablution blocks and a scullery in Visarend camp with warm and cold
water.
•
The stands are ±10m x 10m and bigger, and we allow up to 6 people per
stand.
•
Most of the camp-sites has grass and trees for shade, but the more shade
there is, the more difficult it is to grow grass - so some sites does not have
grass.
•
The ablution blocks are well maintained with staff cleaning on a regular
basis.
•
There are two family ablution blocks in Visarend camp.
•
The tariffs on the web page includes all cost. With electricity cost rising
drastically, please help us by not using extra freezers, spotlights, air-cons
etc. otherwise we will have no option as to increase our tariffs.
•
Please use water sparingly. Thanks!
•
If you want to enjoy the evening around a camp-fire, please bring a
suitable burner that will keep the heat from the grass. Burners can also be
rented from the kiosk to make a camp-fire.
•
Fires on the ground are strictly prohibited. Please use braai stands for
braai or camp fire.
•
We are VERY fortunate that we haven't had any crime related incidents so
far. With the right clients, it may well be so in the future!
•
Enjoy your camping but always be vigilant.

Please report any disturbance (Noise, music and people dis-behaving) or
anything/person that look suspicious.

Enjoy the game in natural environment
We have oryx, red hartebeest, sable
antilope, nyala, kudu, water-buck, zebra,
duiker, impala, spring-buck, steenbok,
and fallow dear on the small farm.
Day and night game drives are available.
It is not a long drive, but you will see
plenty of game. Most of the game is used
to our vehicles, so you will be able to take
great photos (see below).
Ask for a sundowner or Bush Braai - only
available on special request.
